I had a huge box full. I got rid of maybe 60 out of the 200 or so. He was really nice and came to my car because the box was to heavy. He went through them all and took the ones he wanted. I am not sure the price, but he gave me $ Store was really nice and a lot of cool old school music photos on the wall⊠Definitely a jem store, thanks for your help. Annie A. Ăvaluation du lieu 2 Los Angeles, CA Okay selection of records⊠Usually pretty busy on the weekends. I pop in here from time to time to see whatâs new, though I rarely find anything I want. Iâve picked up some great blues reissues and the pricing is inside of this place is reminiscent of record stores from the late 90s, early 2000âs. Like a place that time forgot. But then again, itâs a record shop in a strip mall in the valley so I donât expect any have not had much good experience with the staff. Many occasions Iâve been ignored for long periods of time waiting. Or my mere existence has seemed like a huge inconvenience for recently brought in some old records to sell because I was cleaning out my collection and am tired of lugging hundreds of LPâs around. The guy who bought from me made me feel like to total square, barely able to hide his smug look of judgement as he flipped through my stuff like I just brought him in a pile of steaming shit. Excuse me that I like what I like and am not cool» enough for you, dude. Sean T. Ăvaluation du lieu 3 Los Angeles, CA Still a decent store, especially for DVDs. But they are on top of most of their used cd pricing. The days of finding something new or out of print for $ are pretty much over. I noticed that a lot of staff from the Sherman oaks second spin are over there now which is pretty cool since they are a nice bunch of people and their old staff certainly needed that boost in friendliness. Christopher B. Ăvaluation du lieu 5 Agoura Hills, CA This place is a gem. One of the CD stores left in 2015. It carries everything from CDâs, Vinyls, DVDâs, Blu-âRays, and so on. There is something magical about looking through a store to find the perfect CD, having a physical item to hold and admire, look through the album art that people take a lot of time creating, and so on. If you love movies, they have a great selection of movies here as well. Much larger selection than Target or Best Buy. This place deserves to be and in my opinion MUST be supported. Syd B. Ăvaluation du lieu 4 Los Angeles, CA Located in the heart of the San Fernando Valley, I hope CD Trader lasts forever. An oasis for all music groupies, you will not be disappointed. This intimate store is a great place to purchase records, CDâs, DVDâs, posters, and some other awesome vintage products. Upon arrival, customers are given the options to buy, trade, and/âor sell. The guys at the counter are always very friendly making the experience extra down the aisles youâll find some real gems. Rock & Roll, Jazz, Folk, Pop, Funk, Blues, Hip-âHop, etc⊠this place has it all. The music collection is pure gold and has many of my favorites, including some rare finds. Most vinylâs are in excellent condition ranging from used to brand new. Prices are fair and a shame we donât have more authentic stores like this, but CD Trader fills the void. So câmon people; support your neighborhood store and letâs keep these spectacular records alive! As they say in the film Almost Famous, if you ever get lonely, just go to the record store and visit your friends». Bill K. Ăvaluation du lieu 4 Canoga Park, CA An excellent resource most of the time. Sure, Amoeba and Amazon have more, but since CD Trader is convenient, I try there. After I check the DVD rack or the cd trays, I like going through the $ 3 section. Sometimes they have stuff thatâs not worth retail, but I give it a shot anyway. Be wary of the new stuff, I have seen sale prices at Target that were lower. Simon C. Ăvaluation du lieu 5 Chino, CA Good selection and you can find real gems if you have the time. Prices are also pretty good and sometimes the prices are really good. Large selection of most genres. Arik T. Ăvaluation du lieu 5 Los Angeles, CA Great selection of hard to find CDâs, and DVDâs. This is where i go if i am looking for something a little bit harder to find or a little older. They do have a great variety of new items as well but i know that if something is hard to find odds are i will find it here. I appreciate that there is someone close by to help me if i ever canât find something and i really like the vibe that there is here, itâs always great music playing and really relaxed so i feel like i can take my time and really get a good chance to look around. Tony C. Ăvaluation du lieu 2 Moorpark, CA I havenât been there in like 7 years, but it was a great place to BUY music and video content as well as other things like T-âshirts etc. However if youâre SELLING ITEMS to them, they are CHEAP, and sometimes rude. I even had an old friend who was addicted to drugs now clean, so she would steal Blu-ârays and DVDs from Blockbuster when it was still around, and sell them brand new every day for roughly 3 months. The employees obviously knew that the items were stolen because nobody comes in with 15 to 30 Blu-ârays & DVDs still in their shrink wrapping every day without them getting suspicious. Still knowing all of this, they happily bought up the items daily. They were unethical and enabling my friend to use drugs by taking the items. Like I said I havenât been there since 2008. I donât remember a long haired guy with a bad attitude, but I remember a bald guy with glasses. In the end, I have mixed feelings about this place. The employees were corrupt. On the other hand, itâs still a cool store, and still around in the dying industry of being an independent record store in the digital/âstreaming age. Shila B. Ăvaluation du lieu 4 Vancouver, Canada CDâs were a bit hard to go through as they didnât have any dividers. I managed but it just made things slower for someone like myself with a long I was looking for was way too outside the box. Only a few items that I was looking for was on the list but I realistically didnât expect half of them to be there. No negative reflection on the store. I just go for is well organized, lots of space and air sell vinyl mailers which helped protect my records for home. I didnât do a lot of record buying since we were 90 minutes away from our hostel in 33 degrees heat Canadian measurement.I did have some things in consideration in hand but with the exchange rate at $ my list was automatically cut to a third before I reached the music in the background. Awesome guys to chat with. The music nerd in me loves to geek is a small selection of rare records on the wall worth checking out before leaving the store if itâs your first time. Green Day record is severely boughtGreen Day bookTron soundtrackDevo cdSparks cd Bob A. Ăvaluation du lieu 5 Encino, Los Angeles, CA I have been buying my music here it seems forever. Friendly atmosphere and plenty of new and used vinyl, CDs, movie DVDs, and audio. Omar R. Ăvaluation du lieu 4 Ventura, CA I have spent hours here and have always found great stuff. The prices very and sometimes they CAN be outrageous. Worth digging around in this place though. Josh M. Ăvaluation du lieu 4 CA, CA Always find some choice vinyl here although their prices are somewhat expensive. Still, Iâve found some great stuff here Iâve never seen anywhere else Mario G. Ăvaluation du lieu 1 Sun Valley, CA I used to be a regular customer here because I have a friend that works there. Then I tried to return a CD that had a mastering problem. I was told by a cashier that they couldnât return something because I didnât like it. Never said I didnât like it. I even offered to get the same thing if it didnât have the problem. No go. Then i was told by a mangler manager that you take your chances» when you buy them. He finally gave the olâ Weâll do it this time» line, like I was asking him to do a favor. I picked out something else, told my friend I wouldnât be shopping there anymore, did the exchange, tore up my punch cards and left. I actually felt like Iâd done something wrong here. Not anymore. If youâre gonna shop here, beware. You take your chances» here. Christopher D. Ăvaluation du lieu 2 Canoga Park, CA This place obviously has an issue with customer service. I strolled in there once while I was waiting for the diner next door. They were having a sale, so I decided to do some shopping. I found a Deftones vinyl boxset marked $ I honestly did not think the price was weird at the time although I realize I should have. They guy who rang me up didnât seem to think it was weird either and sold me the set. It wasnât until a while later when I was almost through with me breakfast next door when a awkward looking gentlemen came over to my table and asked if I had bought the told me that I was sold the set at the wrong price and it was supposed to be $ He kinda gave me a look like Oh. you didnât notice?» Like I tried to get away with something. Obviously the guy you have behind the counter didnât seem to have a problem with are lucky that I was the kind of customer that I was because I realize they are an independent business, and a mistake is a mistake, but I think they should have showed some humility, especially since they came into another business an confronted me about it in front of my friends at the breakfast table! My only other experience here worth mentioning is on record store day 2014 when they had a line that wrapped throughout the store while the 1 clerk handling RSD purchases catered to a man that was going through the entire RSD list asking questions and buying EVERYTHING! They made no attempt to limit this scalper or open another register for real customers and music lovers to get a chance at the limited am thinking of visiting this location again on RSD this year. If I do I will update my review. Arman Z. Ăvaluation du lieu 1 Woodland Hills, CA Was selling vinyls, older gentleman was rude, and broke some vinyls. Then told me to get out of service. Never Some other employees may be nice. Store may be great overall, but my visit was would give this older, white gentleman, with long hair, a â5 review for his services. Rude came off with an attitude and no respect, thought he was the King of the world and knew it all. Realistically, if you are over 50, and working at CD Trader, you are me for bless. Sean M. Ăvaluation du lieu 5 Woodland Hills, CA Best Vinyl selection in the West SFV. Amoeba is bigger and better but it also another 30 â 45 minutes past this place on a good day. They should expand the vinyl section more and start to downsize the CD section knew that Vinyl would outlast the Compact Disc! Aileen R. Ăvaluation du lieu 5 Canoga Park, CA A hidden gem on the west side of the San Fernando Valley!!!CD TRADER is a really cool store that buys, sells, and trades Dvdâs, CDâs, blue rays, & have seen a few figures from movies but not to the movies section you will find such categories as childrenâs movies, musicals, classics, music, tv series & shows, animĂ©, sci-âfi, horror, drama, adult, comedy and love finding dvds for those movies of when i was a love to find movies to give as a gift. It is worth taking a peek inside you might be surprise what you the stamp card to be able to get a free item once youâve stamped up the is a fun place to wander like a mini-âmini is always nice & helpful Lorna B. Ăvaluation du lieu 3 Los Angeles, CA CD trader is a great place if you want to find a low-âcost CD or DVD. The selection is pretty good although there is no guarantee to finding exactly what youâre looking for, it is all hit and miss. some of the staff can be a little bit aloof, customer service is not necessarily what they are there for itâs almost as though they have contempt for the customers. Some may find this a problem, but I guess it really doesnât matter as long as Iâm able to buy some inexpensive DVDs. Danny V. Ăvaluation du lieu 5 North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA Records shops are pretty much everywhere, but finding what youâre looking for is sometimes tough⊠This shop didnât disappoint!!!Their punk section was extremely awesome!!! They carry so much good import and stocked well in so many categories. You will definitely find something you were not even looking for. Prices are extremely good, compared to some other places and websites. Staff is awesome. All around a really amazing record shop.
